この度の添削を通じてわかったことを一つ取り上げましょう。
それは応募者の多くはある程度翻訳の技術が身についているのですが、あくまでもある程度であってそれ以上ではないという点です。
しかも、そのある程度の技術が一様に共通するある点において行き詰まっているのです。つまり、解説でも述べたのですが、文と文、節と節、語句と語句などとの間の接続関係が実に曖昧なのです。
この現象が応募者に一様に現れるということは、当然のことながら教育上の問題であるということになるでしょう。自らも過去を振り返って、この点について専門的に教わった記憶はありません。この接続の問題は「構造論」の中の2本柱の1本に相当するあまりにも重要な柱です。
今後、この点に注意して「添削」や「解説」を読んでもらいたいと思います。
